Now or Never Publishing kept me in suspense for many weeks in anticipation of seeing the cover for my forthcoming novel Hands of the Tyrants, which will be released in the Fall of 2012. The final design is posted below. I think the contrast between the bright font and the dark background / illustration reflects the tone of Hands of the Tyrants. Even during initial drafts of this novel I wanted to capture a light-hearted, satirical tone while entertaining philosophical speculations on art and the relationship between artists and the state. I love the illustration that made it’s way into the final design. It’s a surreal collection of strange characters that is bordering on the abstract. Any comments on this design are welcome…from praise to damnation!

Love the cover, but more important looking forward to what lies in-between!

This looks great, Mike! Do you know the name of the designer?

Sorry for the late reply, Braydon. I don’t know the name of the designer…but I will find out! By the way, did you get the books I left for you in your office?
Anne Young says:
I agree that the contrast between the whimsical drawing and the serious, retro-style font makes for a promising package. I anticipate that the contents are so spectacular, that the cover will appear to tastefully understate the bold brilliance encapsulated within.
Jeff Pardy says:
Attaboy Mikey!
Louis-Philippe Comeau says:
I can’t wait to read it! It sounds awesome!
Adam says:
Looks great.
Kayla C says:
Really great Mike. The blue and yellow colours compliment each other. Can’t wait to read it!

Most refreshing, Mike.
The cover evokes obscure mysteries. I am sure the content will be thought-provoking.
